She received her BA from Linfield College in Oregon, and an MA in Counseling from Western New Mexico University. She worked in women’s shelters with survivors of domestic violence, as well as with individuals and groups in school-based health clinics, and community health organizations. She has been in private practice since 2017. Melissa has dedicated her career to supporting the growth, development, and well-being of individuals and the wider community. Before focusing on clinical counseling, she worked as an educator, guiding children, adolescents, families and schools for over 30 years.
